Workforce Development Committee
The availability of skilled labor is a major factor in encouraging businesses to stay in a community and helping companies identify the best locations for expansion and relocation. Work force development is an economic development approach that attempts to enhance a community's economic stability and prosperity by focusing on businesses and labor needs. Workforce and talent development is critical to our community and there is an extraordinary level of cooperation and collaboration among area workforce groups.
The mission of the Workforce Development Committee is to identify and promote opportunities for a partnership between the educational, business community, and government entities of Camden County so as to foster favorable workplace practices to support a skilled local workforce. This committee focuses on bringing the area workforce groups together for a strategic and comprehensive approach in identifying workforce needs and solutions.
